Basic models for ensuring the quality of medical services: global experience and development trends

Abstract

The article discusses global experience in ensuring the quality of medical services. Basic management models have been identified (from a historical perspective). These models evolved significantly in the 20th — early 21st centuries under the influence of the development of approaches to standardization, assessment, and quality control of medical services. Organizational models for managing the quality of medical care are analyzed based on the basic industrial model that currently dominates worldwide. The features of their formation have been identified, and the conditions for their ef fective use in practice have been characterized.
