Abstract

The main clinical manifestations of COVID-19 are respiratory disorders of varying severity, up to acute respiratory distress syndrome. One of the crucial manifestations of the novel coronavirus infection is damage to the cardiovascular system. Myocardial damage occurs in approximately 12% of patients hospitalized with SARS-CoV-2 infection. The presented clinical case reflects one of these possible variants of serious lesions - myo carditis, which led to the development of rhythm disturbances. The article presents the principles and results of a medical examination carried out in order to establish the causal relationship between the disease and occupation of a medical worker.
