Abstract
The authors of this article conducted a study of the level of Internet addiction among adolescents and young people using the tests by Kimberly Young, Chen, and A. S. Kulakova. The main purpose of the study was to determine the prevalence and degree of Internet addiction in this age group. The study tested a total of n = 270 adolescents and young people. The results were scored for each test, and the participants were classified according to their level of Internet addiction. It can be concluded that among the studied adolescents and young people there is a prevalence of Internet addiction. The results of all three tests showed that a significant number of participants had a high or critical level of Internet addiction. These results indicate the need to develop and implement effective programs for the prevention and treatment of Internet addiction among adolescents and young people.
