Abstract

Drawing on existing normative legal acts and scholarly publications, the paper discusses the issue of formation of legal consciousness in children in educational organisations. It stresses the importance of the activity component in the formation of legal consciousness, particularly in the context of activities carried out by participants of educational relationships in the situation of normative regulation implemented by educational organisations themselves. The fact that changes in the legislation of the Russian Federation aimed at decentralization of normative regulation of educational organizations may act as a negative factor affecting the formation of legal consciousness, especially in the context of regularly detected violations of the law by the managing bodies of educational organisations. The paper proposes certain measures aimed at reducing the identified risks and increasing the effectiveness of the activities of educational organisations carried out with the purpose of positive development of legal consciousness in children.
