Abstract
The purpose of the study is to determine to what extent classroom teachers know about peer bullying, how they intervene when they encounter peer bullying, and what their suggestions are for the prevention of bullying. The peer bullying and intervention methods against bullying that primary school students are exposed to are important in terms of students' cognitive development, especially their social development. Staying by the peer bullying or making the wrong intervention can have unavoidable consequences. The research group consists of 23 (3rd and 4th grade) classroom teachers working in the district of Iscehisar, Afyonkarahisar. In this research, in which qualitative research method was used, data were collected using a structured interview form. The data obtained from the research were grouped by the researchers using the descriptive analysis method. As a result of the research, it was seen that most of the teachers defined peer bullying as "Using Force, Frightening". Regarding their observations regarding the victims, they expressed their opinions as "Lack of Self-Confidence, Introversion". As a cause of peer bullying, most of the teachers stated that "the attitude of the family, the influence of the environment". Most of the teachers who thought that the problem of peer bullying could be solved with seminars and training stated that they encountered peer bullying behavior in their classroom.
