A discussion of the professional responsibilities incumbent upon editors and scholars in the course of soliciting and writing book reviews for scholarly journals, Lynette Felber's article explores issues including the relationship between scholars as writers and scholars as book reviewers, the tricks of the trade among book review editors, and the effect of book reviews on the scholarly community.
