1. pursued graduate and post-graduate research on the history and structure of the fishing industry in Nova Scotia. He currently teaches Sociology at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax.
2. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Anthony Davis has been engaged in ethnographic research on small boat fishing in Southwest Nova Scotia since 1974. Currently, he is a co-investigator with a SSHRC funded research project that is examining social and economic dimensions of small capital in the Nova Scotian fishing industry.
