Abstract
The following paper was delivered at a session of the 2001 Association of American University Presses annual meeting, held June 16-19 in Toronto, Canada. The session, ‘The Paper-Cloth Conundrum: Economics of Simultaneous Publication,’ was discussed by participants from sales, editorial, and business. Dana Courtney discusses the situation from a wholesaler's point of view. This article was published, in slightly revised format, in Against the Grain vol. 14, no. 2 (April 2002).
