Abstract
Visual impairments in schoolchildren negatively affect their physical fitness and lead to the presence of motor impairments due to a sedentary lifestyle and hypodynamia. The purpose of the article is to determine the differences in the indicators of physical fitness of 13-year-old schoolchildren with visual impairments, who belong to different special medical groups. In general, it can be noted that in the group of 13-year-old schoolchildren with visual impairment, there are more of those who have sufficient or satisfactory speed and dexterity, a satisfactory level of strength, endurance and flexibility. The obtained data of the scientific research allow us to assume that 13-year-old schoolchildren from different special medical groups A and B can be involved in physical education classes according to the same programs.
Prospects for further research. Further scientific research will be devoted to the development and implementation of a modern program of adaptive physical education for 13-year-old schoolchildren with visual impairment.
