Investigative journalism as a democratic practice: a Mail & Guardian case study (2002-2003)

Abstract

The theme of this article is investigative journalism and the importance of this particulartype of journalism for upholding democratic practices. By giving a theoretical foundationand by using a case study, the author shows that investigative journalism plays animportant role in furthering democratic ideals and in bringing about change in society
