A history of the evolution of traditional arts in ethnic minority areas in China: the example of drum culture

Abstract

Drum culture is arguably one of the most distinctive traditional cultures of ethnic minorities in China. This article uses the drum as an example to focus on the history of the development and evolution of the pluralistic drum culture in ethnic minority regions, and to illustrate from different perspectives the characteristics of drum culture in ethnic minority regions and its far-reaching impact on the economic and social development, traditional culture and artistic development of ethnic minority regions.
