The historical aspect of the application of the project management method in the US industry in the 1970s

Abstract

The article describes the application of the project management method in the US industry in the 1970s. The project management method was used in industry in various forms and was designated by such terms as the organization of work on the project, project coordination and interconnection of developments. The project method of management organization, characterized by a certain sequence of work, a set of tools used, as well as a certain distribution of responsibility, requires the appointment of one person responsible for the implementation of the project, the establishment of centralized control over information, and allows for the possibility of decentralized implementation of specialized functions.
