Background: Eosinophilic esophagitis is a newly recognized condition driven by allergen exposure. The management of eosinophilic esophagitis can be a challenge for the practicing allergist. Objective: Provide the allergist with the skills needed to effectively
manage eosinophilic esophagitis. Methods: A literature review of the important aspects of evaluation and management. Results: More effective care of patients with eosinophilic esophagitis. Conclusion: This review provided the allergist
who sees patients with eosinophilic esophagitis some additional tools to help avoid the pitfalls and use the pearls in disease management.
