Abstract
Ranunculus sceleratus L. which was earlier reported from northern India, is recorded from Tamil Nadu State for the first time. The present study documents an extended distribution record for the species, and also forms additional record to the flora of Tamil Nadu State. Detailed descriptions with photographs of the species are provided.
