Abstract
Objective: To analyze the applicability of the sustainability tripod as a management mechanism in organizations
Methodology: The research adopted a bibliographic research-based approach, reviewing relevant studies, scientific papers, and theses on organizational sustainability. The methodology included an extensive survey on platforms such as Scielo, Scopus and Google Academic, followed by a critical analysis and synthesis of the data collected.
Results and discussions: The results of the survey reveal that companies are adopting sustainable practices in several dimensions. In the environmental dimension, there is a significant effort to reduce carbon emissions, optimize resource use and implement clean technologies, aiming not only to mitigate environmental impacts but also to strengthen corporate reputation. Regarding the social dimension, investments in corporate social responsibility, diversity, inclusion and partnerships with NGOs not only strengthen relations with external stakeholders, but also promote an internal motivating environment for employees. In the economic dimension, sustainability involves the efficient management of financial resources, transparency and ethical supply chains, contributing to inclusive and resilient economic growth. Analysis of the results suggests that effective integration of the sustainability tripod not only mitigated risks and improved the reputation of organizations, but also positioned them competitively in a market where sustainability is increasingly valued. This model is not limited to corporate responsibility, but represents an opportunity for innovation, sustainable growth and a positive contribution to a balanced and prosperous future.
Conclusion: It is concluded that the sustainability tripod not only guides strategic and operational decisions, but also prepares organizations to face emerging challenges and meet the growing expectations of stakeholders concerned with environmental and social issues.
