Abstract
Nowadays, digitalization covers all spheres of life, including the housing and communal services sector. Smart technologies have been introduced in megacities such as St. Petersburg and Singapore for a long time, which make it possible to optimize the management of urban infrastructure and improve the quality of life of residents.The object of the study is the digitalization of the sphere of housing and communal services in megacities.The purpose of the article is to study the experience of the introduction of “smart” technologies in the housing and utilities sector in St. Petersburg and Singapore.The article reveals the issues of digitalization of the sphere of housing and communal services.The unique solutions of St. Petersburg and Singapore in the framework of the introduction of “smart” technologies in the field of housing and communal services are considered. Based on a comparative analysis of the experience of the introduction of “smart” technologies in the field of housing and communal services in two megacities, the main advantages and disadvantages are identified, and recommendations are formulated to St. Petersburg to improve this area based on the experience of Singapore.
