Abstract

Introduction: Today, for the construction of a dental bridge, modern technologies and materials allow both the aggregation elements and the bridge body to be made in a single stage in the prosthesis of small or medium edentations. In the practice of making dental bridges, the appearance of errors in different technical stages is a reality and their finding and identification can be an unpleasant moment for the dental technician, as well as for the dentist and patient. Method: Depending on the time of analysis or test of the future fixed prosthetic work, the analysis toolsand methods may be different, namely inspection (clinical or technical), dental probe, dentimeter, magnifying glass, microscope, parallelograph of the prosthetic field, study model, working model, virtual model, model or the very skeleton of the future prosthetic work. Results: The analysis for the manufacture of fixed prostheses can highlight aspects related to mistakes, accidents and complications in grinding post teeth, particularities of the aggregation elements and the model of the bridge body, difficulties found on the model in modeling the occlusal face of the bridge body determined by the antagonistic teeth, the realization of a functional gear with the antagonists that would allow a total freedom of mandible movement. Discussion: The use and identification of information regarding the knowledge of occlusal morphology / occlusal morphotype bring the theoretical argumentation to support the modeling and individualization of the prosthetic work. Conclusion: This paper can also be read as a summary presentation by resident doctors and practitioners, respectively the dentist and the dental technician, because they must not forget and must apply in practice the basic principles of fixed prosthetics in order to avoid the failures determined in particular by routine and lack of working time.
