Abstract

Abstract This paper is concerned with methods for evaluating the dynamic modulus and hysteresis of rubber under a wide range of conditions. The original machine in use at the Rubber and Plastics Research Assn. (RAPRA), and then its commercially available counterpart, the Wallace electronic sinusoidal-strain dynamic tester, are described. Some typical results obtained with the first machine, but obtainable with either, are given.
