Abstract
Under urban conditions, significant damage to the ecological state of the environment is caused by the degradation of natural and green areas. The purpose of the study was to analyze the dynamics of recreational zones in lands of various levels in Samara for 2013–2022. It was performed using the Earth remote sensing methods and the analysis of statistical data in stock. The source materials were satellite images. It is established that the optimal software product for processing different-time photos is GIS MapInfo Professional. It was revealed that these territories of Samara occupy about 28 % of its total area. This is a fairly high indicator for cities. The leisure zone space gradually decreased during the observation period, but this does not pose a significant threat to Samara as a whole.
