Abstract

Constant monitoring of agriculture within dry-steppe, semi-desert- and intra- zonal terrains is very important. The author analyzes indicators of agricultural fields’ state to automate Southern Russia agro-landscapes mapping processes. Its results and analysis of the spectral indices values on irrigated fields, different in spatial location, operating conditions and use (totally 10 classes are identified), within semi-desert, dry-steppe- and floodplain intra-zonal landscapes of the mentioned area. The obtained results of the spectral indices distribution analysis within agricultural fields indicate that the main classes of condition have certain features in the minimum and maximum values for the growing season, and their fixation can be carried out on the basis of composite images. The most significant indicators of condition identification for farmlands were detected
