Abstract

AbstractFowler (2021a, New Zealand Geographer, 77, 16–31) supplemented the site histories of four central‐Auckland climate observatories by mining two searchable online historical archives (Papers Past, DigitalNZ). Photographic and map evidence was found for three of the sites, but not for the Auckland Domain observatory. Additional information (a map) has now been found which allows a more accurate determination of that site's location. The new information is presented here and the implications for the central‐Auckland rainfall record are noted.
