As a developmental and cognitive psychologist, he centers his work on life-span development of mind and personality.

2. Research Psychologist at the same Max Planck Institute. Her current research interests focus on the study of life experience, wisdom, and the integration of cognition, motivation, and emotion during adult development and aging.
