1. Laurier Turgeon holds the Canada Research Chair in Heritage and is Professor of Ethnology and History at Laval University (Canada) and current Director of its Cultural Heritage Institute. 2. Michelet Divers was born in Jacmel. He studied legal sciences at the Gonaives Law Faculty in Haiti. He is currently finishing his Masters in Heritage at Haiti State University in Port‐au‐Prince and is a student intern at Laval University’s Cultural Heritage Institute. Director of the Department of Culture and Communications of the south‐east of Haiti, he chaired the 2007 Jacmel Carnival Organising Committee. He founded the first Haitian Carnival museum.
