Abstract

AbstractThis paper examines the influence of right‐wing political ideologies on the lives and experiences of university professors who teach about women and gender in their respective disciplines throughout Brazil. Drawing from qualitative interviews with professors in different regions of Brazil we argue that the embrace of anti‐gender ideologies by the Bolsonaro administration has had a negative impact on university educators by restricting resources, increased surveillance, threats, and attacks.
