Abstract
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to take into consideration the position of Carm. 1.15.19–20 within the structure of the whole ode (at a ‘false closure’). By this means, a fresh argument in favour of the variant crinis will be supplied, since the motif of hair is a closural device.
