Abstract
Abstract
The distribution and excretion of 14C-labelled N-benzyl-N′N″-dimethylguanidine (BW 467C60) have been studied in cats. The drug, like bretylium, had a selective affinity for adrenergic neurones. At 3 mg./kg., about half the dose was excreted unchanged in urine within 24 hr. and no metabolites were found. Excretion continued for more than 7 days.
