Abstract
Summary
The preparation of sparingly penicillin salts with dialkylaminoalkyl benzoates has been investigated. Only the diethylaminoethyl ester of p-hydroxybenzoic acid has the same properties as diethylaminoethyl p-aminobenzoate (procaine). Phenylalanine esters (methyl to n-amyl) give sparingly soluble penicillin salts. The anomalies, described with different l-tyrosineesters, were not observed in this series.
