Abstract
SummaryIn a study of 877 patients presenting for anaesthesia with an ECG, 45 per cent of the ECGs were found to be abnormal. The incidence of abnormal ECGs was found to be highest in the over‐40 age group, and also in those patients of ASA Grades II, III, IV and V, and this investigation is therefore recommended in these patients.
