Abstract

SUMMARY Ibuprofen is a non‐steroidal analgesic and anti‐inflammatory drug widely used in current medical practice. After a thorough search of the literature I found no well‐documented case of severe thrombocytopenia following its therapeutic use. Described below is a case of life‐threatening thrombocytopenia induced by ibuprofen.
