Oikos, 2020, (https://doi.org/10.1111/oik.07194).This Expression of Concern is for the above article, published online on 30 March 2020 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), and has been published by agreement between the journal Editor in Chief, Nordic Society Oikos and John Wiley & Sons Ltd. The decision to express concern arose from the absence of essential information regarding the location and time of data collection, along with highly unusual deviations in data variance compared to similar studies. Furthermore, our attempts to seek clarification from the author (Dr. Start) regarding potential anomalies in the data went unanswered.
