1. Asymmetric transformations catalyzed by enzymes in organic solvents
2. Enzyme-catalyzed processes in organic solvents.
3. Enzymic resolution of racemic amines: crucial role of the solvent
4. 4. In addition to those mentioned in the text, lipases from the following cultures were tested:Aspergillus niger, Humiloca lanuginosa, Geotrichum candidum, Rhizopus japonicus, Rhizopus delemar, Penicillium cyclopium, Penicillium roqueforti, Rhizopus arrhizus, Candida lipolitica, andRhizopus iavanicus.
5. 5. Here, 100 mg/mL enzyme suspensions in anhydrous octane containing 200 mM trifluoroethyl butyrate and 100 mM amine were shaken at 45oC and 250 rpm; the reactions were followed by capillary gas chromatography on the basis of the formation of the amide product. No appreciable amidation reaction was detected without enzymes.
