Abstract
DAOM 194693, a dried culture obtained from CBS 449.67, is designated as the neotype for Fusarium tricinctum (Corda) Sacc. The two extant authentic specimens of the basionym Selenosporium tricinctum Corda and cultures of the anamorph of Gibberella tricincta El-Gholl et al. were also examined. Reasons are given for not designating as type either of Corda's specimens or a specimen obtained from one of El-Gholl et al.'s cultures.
