Abstract
A new analysis of the absorption spectrum of the [Formula: see text] transition of Se2 has been performed. All the perturbations observed in the [Formula: see text], ν = 0 to 6 levels are consistent with two distinct A3Π(1u) and A′1Π(1u) perturbing states which are not responsible for the predissociation near 27 700 cm−1 in the ν = 6 level. A partial deperturbation yields equilibrium constants and electronic interaction elements. The assignment of different electronic states in the energy region under consideration is discussed.
