Abstract
The status of the fungal genus Elaphomyces (Ascomycotina, Elaphomycetales) in Canada is reviewed with notes based mainly on collections in Kew from Nova Scotia made by K. A. Harrison in the 1950s. Elaphomyces anthracinus is reported for the first time from Canada and E. spinoreticulatus sp.nov. is described and illustrated. A key to the five known Canadian species of Elaphomyces is provided.
