Abstract
We consider static charged particlelike solutions of the nonlinear electromagnetic theory Fik,k = −(1 + Ak2)Ai. A discrete set is determined by requiring the Lagrangian to be an extremum with respect to the parameters characterizing the continuum of solutions. Spherically symmetrical solutions are obtained numerically, as well as the corresponding charges and masses. Nonspherical solutions and variational approximations are discussed briefly.
