Abstract
The organic flocculation method was about as effective as the hydroextraction method, recovering 71–96% and 88–94%, respectively, of algal cells from lakes. Chlorophyll recovery-was, however, less efficient, ranging from 42 to 56%. Both methods are simple and inexpensive and can be conducted under field conditions.Key words: phytoplankton, hydroextraction, organic flocculation
