Abstract
We emphasize, as a result of the asymmetric Maxwell–Mindowski energy momentum tensor, two specific effects of some anisotropy appearing in a dielectric isotropic homogeneous moving medium that show in one hand a non-conservation law of the macroscopic parameters ε and μ that does not agree with previous ones, and on the other hand, and never treated so far, a case of the non-colinearity between the momentum and the velocity of a photon propagating in such a medium. A never foreseen possibility for this anisotropy to vanish is attained for a velocity βc corresponding to Cerenkov’s threshold.
