Abstract
Lophophacidium dooksii n. sp. (Phacidiaceae) occurring on needles of Pinus strobus L. is described, illustrated, and compared with Lophophacidium hyperboreum Lagerberg, the type species. Ascomata of L. dooksii mature during the spring and summer on attached 2nd-year needles.
