Effect of Temperature on the Activity of Glyceraldehyde-3-Phosphate Dehydrogenase; a Comparison of Halibut and Rabbit Enzymes

Abstract

The halibut enzyme activity was found to be less affected by temperature change. The energy of activation of the reaction catalyzed by these two enzymes differed by a factor of 2. Both enzymes catalyzed reactions that had a constant energy of activation over the range of 5–35 C.
