Abstract
A spot, occasionally observed on chromatograms of urinary indoles, described as being due to "6-sulphatoxyskatole", and implicated by some workers in certain pathological conditions, has been shown by enzymatic hydrolysis and thin layer chromatography to be probably due to a mixture of the sulphate conjugates of 5-, 6-, and 7-hydroxyskatole.
