Abstract
The relative deactivation efficiencies, ks, for collisional stabilization of (C3H4)2+* ion species, produced by photoionization at 10.03 eV of allene, were obtained in various bath gases, such as rare gases, N2, CO, CO2, and CF4. A linear relationship between ln [Formula: see text] and εM–M was obtained, where εM–M stands for the intermolecular well-depth potential between pairs of neutral M and μ is the reduced mass of colliding partners. Similar relations were examined for other collisionally stabilized ion species.
