Abstract
The WKB approximation is applied to the rotating Morse oscillator. Results are presented for the ground state of the H2 molecule and are compared with those obtained by several other methods. The WKB method gives the best results for v > 5. At smaller values of v, the WKB results are only slightly less accurate than the best ones.
