Abstract
A weevil species, Scepticus insularis (n = 11), is placed on record as having, among other (3n and 5n), both diploid bisexual and diploid parthenogenetic races. It thus rounds out the concept that polyploid parthenogenetic weevils have evolved from bisexual prototypes.
