Abstract
The problem of high-β Tokamak equilibria is studied numerically for plasmas of arbitrary cross section. The third moment of the plasma current profile is shown to be an effective and general parameter for optimizing such equilibria. Operating parameters for various equilibrium configurations are given in terms of machine requirements.
