Abstract
Starlings fed 4.75 mg radioactive DDT per day for 5 days absorbed less than 25% of the insecticide. Concentrations remained high in the body and liver for 1 week after the feeding period, but decreased more quickly in the brain. After 10 days, less than 10% of the ingested DDT remained in the birds.
