Abstract
Bacteria were isolated from terminal buds of field-grown soybean plants during two growing seasons. Most buds yielded 106–107 bacteria/g (wet weight). A variety of cultural types was noted. Some isolates were antagonistic in vitro to Pseudomonas glycinea and other bacterial pathogens.
