Azole derivatives of metals. VI. Binuclear platinum(II) derivatives having both μ-pyrazolato-N,N′ and methoxy or chloride as bridging groups

Abstract

Binuclear platinum(II) complexes of the type[Formula: see text]where X = H, CH3, Y = H, Br, Z = Cl, OCH3, are synthesized by the reaction of Pt2Cl4(PEt3)2 with the pyrazole and sodium hydroxide in methanol. The nature of the product depends on the amount of sodium hydroxide used.
