Abstract
The spectrum of PtH has been investigated in emission. Besides the A2Δ5/2–X2Δ5/2 and the B2Δ5/2–X2Δ5/2 subsystems, obtained earlier in absorption, a 2Δ3/2–X2Δ3/2 and a 2Φ7/2–X2Δ5/2 subsystem have been detected. These new subsystems have been rotationally and vibrationally analyzed. The term values have been calculated. The spin–orbit coupling constants (A0 ≈ −615 cm−1) for the X2Δ state have been computed by fitting an energy formula to the term values.
