l-Sterpurene-3,12,14-triol and 1-sterpurene, metabolites of silver-leaf disease fungus Stereum purpureum

Abstract

Two new sterpurane-type sesquiterpenes, sterpurene-3,12,14-triol (4) and 1-sterpurene (5), 2,6,10,10-tetramethyltricyclo-[6.3.0.03,6]undec-1-ene, have been isolated from among the neutral metabolites of the fungus Stereum purpureum. The structures were determined mainly on the basis of mass and nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry.
