Abstract
A microsporidian pathogen of Choristoneura conflictana is described. The pathogen appears to attack primarily the gut, silk glands, and malpighian tubules. Spores of the pathogen were observed in the progeny of infected adults. The name Nosema thomsoni n. sp. is proposed for the microsporidian protozoa.
